From Foster to Adoption

A small part of the Childhaven ministry that we want to grow is our foster care program. Over the past year we had two couples licensed to take foster children into their homes. The more couples that we can license, the more younger children we can help place! Our campus is all teenagers, and while we would love for all foster youth to be placed in individual homes, it is difficult to find such homes for teens, hence the need for “group homes” like our campus. However, it is even more imperative that younger children be placed in individual homes. We are looking to increase the number of foster homes licensed through Childhaven so that we can serve more younger children. In the past year, one of the couples that fosters with us was even able to adopt the two children that they were fostering! How amazing to be a part of finding a forever home for these two children and watching this family take shape through our ministry.
